The Radeon 9700 Pro might also be good fodder for a PM + coupon deally. Otherwise, too many of their "sales" are just rebates...

hehe yah I posted a deal for the Radeon 9700pro for $315 no MIR to BB with a 10% coupon. Even sweeter with holiday GC's. No one thinks its a hot deal though I guess :)

The Antec PS just got MUCH HOTTER.
I picked it up for 49.99 out the door and they gave me a $10 MIR to go with it, bringing it down to $40. This was in the Chicago, Michigan Ave. Store. If enough PM me, I could scan it for people.

Strange, I haven't heard much about the P4 on the front of the ad - I thought it was a good deal. What do you guys think - it comes with a P4 1.8ghz and a 40gb hard drive, seems like a good candidate for a linux box.

Picked one up today also, must be a price mistake in their register system since it appears to be nationwide.

I would think this might be overkill for a linux box. My web server I use is not even a p4

What is the difference between this and the Trupower line? I looked at the spec sheets for the SL400 and the True 430, but don't understand what I'm looking at other then a 30,000 more MTBF hours.

For those of you wondering what the difference between the SL400 and the True Power series power supplies are, read this
What makes True Power different

Basicly, the True Power has (1) sepparate regulation circuits for 5.0 and 3.3 volts (most other supplies don't) and (2) fan speed controll. I have a True Power and it has some connectors for plugging fans into so that the supply can regulate the fan speeds based on temperature. Very quiet compared to other supplies I have that run their exhaust fans at full speed all the time.

Either way, the SL400 is a good deal.
