NEW CompactFlash card inop in camera

Got new card for wife for Christmas. Finally filled up and when I tried to download the pictures, non of them would open, and most of the thumbnails looked all messed up.

Its a Lexar 1GB card -- the card is the only thing I'm thinking is the problem. Can I return it to Lexar (threw away receipt)?

Can you review the pics with the camera? Do you download them via camera or cardreader (tried both)?

For some reason, Jan & Feb have always been slow picture taking months for us.

have you tried a card reader?


Have you tried a different program?

Try irfanview.

Tried irfanview and it didn't work.

Lexar also gave me some type of picture recovery program, but that doesn't work either........they said that for the lexar professional cards, you need to format them with this program to make them work right ???!!!!

The wierd thing is that the pictures seem fine when I view them in the camera.

Need to put more time into it this weekend.
