hi,
i'm making a new computer, originally i was going to have http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wis...1551519&WishListTitle=comp.%20%20dunno
with a zalman heatsink, but i made a few changes if you guys can help a little

http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wis...D=1553098&WishListTitle=NEW+COMP%2E%2E
i'm not too sure about the memory if you guys could give some recommendations that would be nice. i might use a zalman 7700 cu if it can fit into a antec sonata.

i hope you guys can give me some suggestions

also reconsider that video card. why not just get the cheapest X800XL? they are all the same thing

Looks pretty good, are you planning on overclocking the system?? I don't think you really need to go with the RAM if you aren't. I think something more like Corsair Value Select would be sufficient, even if you want to overclock go with something like OCZ Value VX or Patriot, that memory you chose is a bit overkill.

that is exactly what i thought about the memory, overkill. but i am going to overclock so i'm going to stay above the valueselect.
i think my budgets around 1000 so i still have room. i can go over but not by much.
maybe these

or these a little bit more expensive but better quality still cheaper than the corsair.

The videocard i picked is fine it will probably take a pci slot but thats ok. It is overclocked quite a bit out of the box, it's not really that much more expensive we'll see when theres a restock, but overclocking the videocard doesn't void the warranty, and i might overclock it later. i'll pay 20 dollars extra for a tiny bit quieter, cooler, and faster even if it's a little bit, if it stays $300 after the restock that is.

You can - just not as much as with other types of ram. If overclocking is a bid deal it would really suck to have value ram holding OP back from higher speeds.

just run a divider... you will reach the SAME speeds

okay but i'm going to try the better memory, lower timings = 1-2 increase in fps jk i dont really care about that
i really want to know if an xp120 or a zalman cnps7700 or a xp120 would be able to fit into a sonata, since the psu might be in the way

just get an xp-90. A bit cheaper and performs almost the same... Seriously, go with the value RAM or at least find some cheap OCing RAM. It is retarded to waste that much money on something with that little of a gain in performance. Upgrade your video or CPU first...
