new comp not booting?

i have an NF7-S 2.0 and an AXP 1700+ tbred b, both new
first time i booted, fine, everything OK, switched to CDROM boot and 200x9, vcore up to 1.55v
after it says save to CMOS, it gives no video, comps still on
i wait about a minute, then shut it down, reboot and it says "do not power off while BIOS is saving settings" then goes black
tried a few reboots and cleared the CMOS, sitll no go

what's up and what can i do?
