New comp..no sound?

I just got my new comp running tonight and the one thing that is stumping the hell out of me is the fact that nothing is coming out of the speakers when I plug them into my Santa Cruz. I have the cable that came with it plugged into the AUX connector on the soundcard and the other end of that plugged into the AUX connector on the mobo. Is there something I'm missing?
 
Yeah, I had forgotten how unreliable my speakers are. Sometimes they just die and need some kind of power surge to fix em straight. I tried my headphones in the speaker jack and those worked.
