I just ordered my brothers friend parts for his computer.
Aspire Dreamer X case
Asus nForce2 Ultra 400 A7nx8
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ "Barton", 333 FSB, 512K
Buffalo Technology 184 Pin 512MB DDR PC-3200 - OEM

The rest of the parts he has.

Now when i put all this together what where the installation steps, of the OS,Drivers, video card drivers etc. I should know this but i forget since i havent really reinstalled things since last March. I forget which steps go first.

Here is the order I usually go:

1.)Power it up, check the bios (temps, voltages, etc)
2.) Flash the bios to the latest version
3.) Boot from the XP cd, format and install XP
4.) If internet is available, get Service Pack 1, install and reboot
5.) Install the Nvidia Nforce motherboard drivers, reboot and let it find everything
6.) after that, the rest of the drivers, video, sound, etc
7.) all the critical updates

basically, just make sure you do the nforce drivers as the first drivers

got the new 3.13 nvidia unified drivers. Isnt there something on them i dont want to install like the wdp driver or something like that
