New comp info

hey all

I am looking into building a new computer and i was wounderin which CPU's have the best bang for the buck and which Mothboard i should use and so on. im tryin to spend about $1000 bu no more than $1200. i need some advise on just about all the parts. thanks in advance

what are you gonna be using the comp for? gaming? internet? notepad?

gaming, word processing, and internet. and gaming im talkin about Unreal Tournament and other high graphic games. i also want a fast computer cheap and easy to upgrade. i have a comp now that is a pentium systemwhich we all know gets very expensive. im also lookin into ddr ram.

I would get as listed but lets see what others say:

Asus A7V
Athlon Tbird 900mhz
GeForce 2 GTS 32mb
SBLive! Value
128mb PC133, micron or some good brand name(RAM IS SO CHEAP 256mb would be a good idea)
whatever case you like but w/good 300watt powersupply
IBM 30gb GXP
Plextor or HP makes good cd-rw's
Pioneer 16x dvd if you want that
that should be about 1200 mabey a lil more 😛
