New Comp Help :/

I got all the parts i need for my new comp. installed but when i start it up nothing happens...well the fans turn on the power leds turn on but the monitor stays blank no beeps either..here are my specs

Asus a8n-sli
eVGA 6800gt PCIe
3200+
1 gig og G.Skill ram

Check your manual for the bios reset jumper, and wipe your bios. It will revert to its factory settings. I do this with every system I build before I even power it up, cause I'll know I have to. Should work fine after that

reseting the cmos didnt help 🙁

does ur mobo have onboard error codes? also make sure cables are in the right way and go with a bare minimum of parts to start with.

Disconnect everything except

psu, cpu/heatsink/fan, case speaker, pwr switch

Do you get any beeps?

k with only those thing plugged in i do get a beep but no error message

Add RAM to the system now

earlier i was getting a beep and "System Failed Memory Test" message

Have you put the RAM in [one stick only]

If you have put the RAM in, and are getting the same as without the RAM, add the VGA card.

How many beeps now?

with both sticks in DIMM_A1 and DIMM_B1 and the graphics card in i got no beeps or error messages, still a white screen

With VGA card in

Put 1 stick in the first DIMM slot
Reboot
Put the other stick in the same DIMM slot
Reboot

USE ONLY 1 stick at a time
Any difference?

found this on the Asus website:

Due to hardware limitations, you ust plug the memory on DIMM_B1 or DIMM_B2 if using just one memory stick.

ok, in slot DIMM_B1 the first stick didnt give me any beeps or messages, blank screen...

second stick...computer wont even start

in DIMM_A1 stick one runs without errors or beeps and a blank screen
stick 2 gives me a beep and the system failed memory check in that slot

Stick 1 in DIMM A1 -
VGA card out.

Try now

Then,
Try stick 2 [the one that gives you the system failed mem chk] in A1, still with the vga card out

with the card out both sticks give me the system failed memory check when in DIMM_A1

Try both sticks, one at a time
Stick1 B1 --- VGA in
Stick2 B1 --- VGA in
Try the same with VGA out.

Do the same for slot B2.
Post all the results please
That should give 8 different results
