I have a Kingston KCNR 156 combo 10/100 Ethernet/v.90 Modem card.
Its an eval trial in my Abit SE6. If you all remember the hipe Intel made for the CNR (commuication network riser) slot. I searched the world over to find something to put in that slot when I bought my mobo back in July without success. Well, its finally here and it appears to be true to what Intel and others were saying.
The Modem part is much faster than my typical Win Modem. Where I live, I usually connect at 38k. Now I consistantly connect at 45.5K and it varies only slightly(.3k variation).
(Of course its just in time for DSL).

On the Ethernet side, I am not networked yet so can't comment, but it was a snap to install with W2k and W98.
All in all, the price is right for looks like a winner for the CNR slots. ($44.00).
The modem is full duplex with Motorolla drivers. AC'97, 2.1 compliant, etc.
Kingston also has the KCNR104 which has Audio Card instead of modem.
Both have ethernet 10/100.
Think I can get Mandrake 7.2 to mount it and run?

This is very cool. I need both an ethernet card and modem in my machine and getting both into one slot is just great. Now if only I had a CNR slot . . . Guess it'll have to wait until my next board. :)

MG,
Look around. I'm sure you can find similar for PCI slot. But probably will be a little more $, but not that much.
