new CentOS 5.2 install, grub timeout does not work

Red Squirrel

No Lifer
So I just installed CentOS 5.2 on an old machine and after the first boot (and all of them) it just stays at the OS selection screen. Other than reinstalling, anyone know of a fix for this? Keep in mind this is a brand new install. There was no config changes or anything, it just started doing it right from the start.

Managed to figure it out, stupid actually. There's a feature where if there's a PS/2 mouse and/or keyboard plugged in, it waits for the user to make a selection. Without keyboard and mouse, it works fine. It is going in the basement as headless anyway, so good enough for me. Just a really odd feature if you ask me.

5.2 is the latest DVD I got downloaded, did not feel like downloading and making another DVD, just needed a quick Linux box for F@H and to transfer floppies to USB (only machine that has a floppy drive). It's sitting in the server room now and working, now that it's headless it works fine.

It's behind a firewall so I'm not too worried, it's for internal use only. But good to know. I'll check what my online server is running.
