New Celeron 420 1.6GHz, 512KB, 800FSB cpu!!

Intel Celeron 420 1.6GHz 800MHz 512K LGA775 CPU, OEM

I just saw these as available from my vendor for $42 oem. Wondering how they'll perform and overclock?? Based on the core2 chip but single core only, i'm wondering how they perform.

Might be fun to play with

no...that doesn't even make sense. where would they get that many core duo's with 1 damaged core? they're just c2d's that have a damaged core so they disabled it.

This is the Conroe-L. Those prices at Newegg are wicked $65 for the 440. In apps that only use one core, this will be faster than the E6300 and E6320.
