Hi all,

Am after a new case for 'around' £100~, needs to have good airflow but not deafening! IE 120mm fans or something.

I have a Lian-Li PC-50 (I think) which ive fitted 2 x BB 80mm front fans but to get the air flow I need they sound like the turbo in my car on full chat lol

What do you have thats a good performer? I will be running SLi and an overclocked air-cooled Q6600 hence why I need good airflow.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

I was considering my Lian Li V2110 as it has bad airflow, the cases I looked at was

Cooler Master CM 690
Cheap, lots of space for fans
Not the best cooling
Steel

Cooler Master HAF 932
Best cooling
Ugly
Big
Steel

Cooler Master ATCS 840
Nice looking
Good cooling
Nice interior
Removeable MB tray
Expensive
Huge
Alu

Lian Li : PC-7FB
Decent aircooilng if a Lian Li EX-33 Black is added with a 120mm fan
Good looking
Alu

Silverstone FT01B
Good airflow (Not good if you have passive cooled GFX)
Decent looking
Alu I think

No idear if thats what your looking for but hey^^

Take a look at the P182. Keeps my Q9550 running at 3.6Ghz w/ Xigmatek S1283 at a cool 48c after 7 hours of Prime95. I did change the fans out to Scythe S Flex E 1200 RPM fans.

Might also want to take a peek at the Antec 900 V2. Airflow is very good, fan control is integrated into the case (which is good because the fans can get LOUD), filters on all major intakes. Too expensive to truly be called a good value, but perhaps a competitor to the HAF 932.

if you're never going to water cool, ge tthe Antec 1200, its good for air cooling
if you're going to water cool, get the HAF932.

both the above are decent/eh in quality.

if you want good quality get a LL or Silverstone.

Been there...done that...I think the Lian Li PC-7FB is a much better built case, weighs 1/5 of the 90x series, is much quieter, and looks really sexy.

My old Case was a Lian-Li PC-50 and I really did like the quality of it and ive reused it for my folding rig but I fancied a change with some serious cooling power and the Antec was exactly what I was after this time around :)

I need a new case for my home server soon which is another OC'd Q6600 so may get a PC-7FB for that...
