New Case Mods complete....Finally

what color is your case? that looks like an ugly color but the windows are pretty nice. i like the case exept the color of it.
 
Hey Thanks for the constructive feedback and comments. The color of the case is hard to appreciate from the pics, it is textured sandstone, looks like stone and has three coats of clear coat, the inside is pearl white with clear coat. I was going for the mild mannered look that would actually fit in with the living room decor. Last mod was to racy for the family, which can be seen at the link in my Sig below.....
 
Not bad.... on both cases. Personally I would've used CCs instead of Neon but hey it's a personal pref. I do like how you painted the insides what did you use to do that?

Insides were painted with automotive spray paint and then clear coated. I agree, I like cold cathodes better and need to get some soon. These neons are weak if you ask me. I bought these awhile back from case etc when cc's were not popular and were hard to find now they are everywhere. I was thinking of getting mine from www.zxmods.comZX Mods after reading the review at VH.
 
Looks good, I like the how the window went around that handle. What did you use to cut the windows with? How did you put the windows on the case?
 
Grendel99, Hey thanks man. I used my dremel on everything, I used a lot of cut off wheels, goggles are required or sunglasses. I affixed the acrylic to the sides and top with clear plastic nuts and bolts - cool because the light kinda makes them glow. More pics are now posted at OC MOD SHOP at the bottom of the page.
 
I just ordered my a CC kit after reading the reveiw also. I went with the PCMods one though. althought the ZX one was nice too.
 
with a window on top like that you've got to put a window on the cdrom drive so you can see the disk spin. chickshardware has a tutorial on it. i like the windows, but the color is a little too calm for me. i understand why you did it that way what with it being in the family room and all. good job. it looks really clean.
 
Tetsuo, I was thinking of that cd rom mod also, need more time. Thinks for the comments and reminder. I am going to read/print it out now.
