New Case...just wondering something...?

I recently bought a Black Pearl Directron SF-201b http://www.directron.com/aluminum.html
The side mounted fan is mounted so that air is sucked out of the case...I'm wondering, wouldn't it be better to have the fan blow unto my components? The case already has four fans sucking air out( 2 rear fans, one top mounted fan, and the PS.) Any suggestions or info is greatly appreciated...🙂

turn that motha around

props for good tastes in cases, looking forward to getting one for xmas (gonna buy it myself if it doesnt show up under the tree)

BowlingNut....
Thanks! I appreciate the advice...I was wondering why it was blowing out...I thought it would be more affective blowing on my components...I'm going to post the system I'm putting together to see if any wish to offer any advice...I know most are veterans at this, and I wish to avoid their mistakes...thanks again! 🙂

If you already have two other exhaust fans, definitely turn it around. It may have just been installed backwards at the factory, or perhaps they expect that this way it will exhaust the warm air from around your PCI cards. I have found, however, that it is more benficial to blow cool air over the cards, and once it is warmed, it will rise and be sucked out by the rear exhaust fans.

Thanks...I kinda thought that maybe it was a factory mistake...I just wasn't sure though, you know aerodynamics and all...lol. I appreciate your advice! 🙂

Beautiful case, I have one myself 🙂
But when I got mine they had the fan the right way (blowing in) so maybe a mistake. I actually didn't like the fan on the side (to loud) and I cheated a window instead (I bought the pre modded side pannel).

Its no mistake, I have a Black Kingwin case and it did the same thign so i flipped it, took about 3 min. Iv read reviews on the case that discovered same thing, I personally think its better blowing in onto the CPU heatsink/fan. Its KICK ASS case.

if your mobo has a temp sensor, test it out. See which one is better. It may actually differ based on how your setup is positioned, how your cabling goes and what PCI cards you have deterring airflow.

The most likely winner is intake, especially if your PSU is sucking out some air too.

I am envious of you folks who have the Superflower case. I want the three window job, but it's a little pricey especially considering no PS comes with it. I saw one at CompUSA and recognized it as a Superflower case even though it was some off brand. Man, it was one slick case. I had wanted a Lian-Li up to that point, but seeing it and the Lian-Li at the store changed my mind. You can buy one at Directron
or a Kingwin KT-436 is the same case. And some are selling it as a TT-201. A-Pro might have the best deal with the case and a Raidmax 400 PS, light, etc. for $215. Cheapest I've seen the three window case is $165.
