Ok, so the 6800 has a built in on card video processor and the X800 has encoding decoding capabilities. Well what difference does it make if it has a dedicated video processor or the gpu does the job itself? Since the card is doing the job and not the cpu does it matter what is actually doing it on the card? Since the gpu is almost certainly more powerful than the video processor, and is fully programmable shouldn't having the gpu actually be the better solution?
I'm trying to determine which card to get and will likely use the encoding/decoding capabilities quite a bit.
