New card for older system

Been out of the loop for a while as you can see by my setup and am a bit lost. Currently running a Q6600 @ 3.2, 7800 GT CO, Asus P5K-E, 8 gb ram, 650w ps, 24" monitor. I'm looking for something that can run newer games along with some photo editing under $200 if possible. Should I get 1 gb or 2? Thanks in advance.
