Some specs:

Electro-charged DOHC 16-valve 4, with variable valve timing
Continous variable transmission
Torque: 350 N-m/258 lb.-ft. @ 0 - 400 rpm
0.29 drag coefficient
Rear spoiler
Aluminum alloy wheels
ABS
Digital instrument cluster
Digital touch screen engine monitor readout
CD sound system with station ID readout
Tinted glass
Alarm system and keyless entry

I just need a Type R sticker to make my new sweet ride complete. Where can I get one?

That's because they need to travel what, 10 feet?

I hope you're joking........

Type-R is for Honda, yours is a Toyota. Type-R stickers won't give your Toyota any more HP. You need to get hooked up with some TRD (Toyota Research and Development) stickers to get some more go power. :p

ahh.. thats what the uninformed ricer would think. but the real pros know that cross-platform sticker enhancements offer even more horsepower per square inch.

The Prius is nice, but the Honda Insight is even better. Reminds my of my old fav (Honda CRX) and it gets even better gas mileage.

That electric motor has torque levels approaching the BMW M3 and Ferrari 360 Modena :D

You mean like a Type-R, Nismo, Mugen, Hennesy, Lingenfelter, Quattro, WRX/STi, VTEC, VANOS, VVTi-L, DOHC, M-Power, AMG, TRD, GT-R V-Spec Tercel?

Of course I'm kidding, especially since I did buy this car. But I'm also kinda serious. If I could get a Type-R sticker for a couple of bux and if it didn't affect the paint I'd stick one on. It'd be funny seeing a "Toyota Hybrid Type-R".

Heheh, precisely.

By the way, all those specs are real, including the 350 Nm torque. :Q In truth this is about as far as you can get from a sports car, but I like it anyway. Everyone loves looking at my bizarre engine block.

what you need is a 50 pound spoiler! the bigger it is the faster you go.

i used to joke around with some asian guys from my school, saying stuff like:

my ca' have so many stickers you can't see out windshield!
my ca' so low it drive underground!
my ca' have so many lights i have to wear sunglasses!

etc. etc.

Well, Canada actually. Acceleration? It's impressive at low speeds - my friends agree, including those who thought it would be suck. Very peppy in the city and not hard to screech the tires. So I'd say very good up to about 40 km/hr and then OK up to around 60. After 80 the limitations of the 1.5 L engine show. Good enough for passing if you floor it, but no better than an economy car. Also remember that although it is an l337 tweaked 1.5 L, it's tweaked for fuel economy not performance.

I've had this thing up as high as 140 km/hr. Does 140 quite well at constant speed although there ain't a huge amount of juice left for passing. Note though when I'm driving my usual 115, at constant speed my engine readout often says it's getting power to the wheels from only electrical.

The North American car has a bigger gas engine because of more aggressive driving, etc. As for the distance, the tank holds 45 L (11.8 US gallons), and at 4.5 L/100 km, the rated range is 1000 km, or over 600 miles. :Q People don't actually get that far, but many have gone over 500 miles on that single small tank of gas.

In four years, if a more luxurious version of something like this that does a bit better at high speeds, I will definitely get it. However, if the car has similar performance at high speeds, I'll still consider it.

Eug: You got a hybrid? That's awesome! How do you like it so far?

A Type R sticker on it would be funny - and a nice slam on the ricers too :D.

Crap, man! Thats like +460 hp right there with those stickers! Someone would be such a stud with that car.

Remember the Rice hp formula:

Spoiler: +10hp, with an additional +5hp per foot high the spoiler is. +10 more if the spoiler is home-made.
Coffee-Can Muffler tip: +20, with +5 more if its blue.
Tinted windows: +5
Lower the suspension to the ground: +15
Badges to other cars: +5 - +10 depending on the badge. +20 for a Type R sticker, +15 for a VTEC badge on a non-VTEC car.
Anything Yellow: +5 per
Ground Effects kit: +50
License plate light: +5
Clear tail lights: +20
Hyper-bright headlights: +30, +5 more if they are blue
Cranking the stock factory stereo, especially the bass: +5
Windshield banner: +5
Seatbelt covers: +5
