Car experts by looking at the following specs is the Versa better than 2002 Nissan Sentra? I have always hated my Nissan Sentra when it comes to engine power, but the mechanics can't find an issue with it.

Nissan Sentra 2002 GXE model
- 1,769 cc 1.8 liters 4 in-line front engine with 80 mm bore, 88 mm stroke, 9.5 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder
- Unleaded fuel
- Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 7.1
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- Main 50 liter unleaded fuel tank
- Power: SAE and 94 kW , 126 HP @ 6,000 rpm; 129 ft lb , 175 Nm @ 2,400 rpm

Nissan Versa 2007 1.8 SL
- 1,798 cc 1.8 liters in-line 4 front engine with 84 mm bore, 81.1 mm stroke, 9.9 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder MR18DE
- Unleaded fuel 87
- Fuel economy EPA highway (mpg): 36 and EPA city (mpg): 30
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- 13.2 gallon main unleaded fuel tank
- Power: 91 kW , 122 HP SAE @ 5,200 rpm; 127 ft lb , 172 Nm @ 4,800 rpm

I've found the engine to be more than adequate - I just drove 1500 miles last week in the Versa, and out of any of it's competitors, it's the best on the highway. It's 6th gear is GREAT for highway traveling - the engine isn't noisy at cruising speeds. Everything about it is better than the old Sentra, even if the engine is similar. Material quality is leaps and bounds ahead of it.

So did you wake up in the morning and find the keys in your pocket and your bank account wiped out?

Enjoying the hatch? We just got an 05 pontiac vibe with 21k miles on it. It's a lot of space on the inside, especially after trading in an 00 mustang on it.

I'm unloading my G35 just to get the 2007 model.

The 2007 is sweet for sure. To be honest, I just wanted something different.

Thanks for the advice.
