The family station wagon just died and I'm going to test drive some cars with my Dad on Monday and he's lookin to buy that sports car now that the kids are out of the house. Now he's looking at cars about 30k but he's going to lease because this is going to be purchased by his company. Now are there cars that cost more then 40k but have a cheap lease due to a high resale value? Any ideas about what to try would be appreciated. I was thinking about the Subaru WRX with 227 HP and all wheel drive. Thanks.

Yeah, my grandfather has a 300M. They are nice but looking for something more sporty. Also looking for a new car, nothing used.

How about something like a Honda S2000. Not too sporty, but not too expensive either and fairly powerful.

The lexus really should be a stick but i guess it's more of a luxury car, but the honda look very nice, i didn't know they were that "cheap".

how many more threads are gonna be, "I have $xxk......what car to get?" seriously, so many threads now!

anyway! :D

wrx = good family car, otherwise for sporty stuff, i'd go with an f-body of some sort

maybe a lexus or a bmw? both about $30 for the lower end stuff

Definitely check out the Acura CL or TL type S.
They've got 260hp and the level of luxury you get for the price is tough to beat.
-I have a CLS

they had a lease here in FL for a BMW 325Ci for $299 a month for 4 years and $2000 due at signing not bad!!

very sporty looking car if you want more power than go for the 330Ci

ill be waiting for the 2002 model when they fix the steering
i test drove a 2001 and the steering was too light

Acura TL or CL Type-S are very nice too!!!
the 2002 A4 looks like a smaller version of the VW Passat dont like it!!!
2002 IS300 will have manual tranny finally!!!
dont get any american cars!!!!!!!

get the WRX, replace it with the european WRX chip. instant 300hp.
then tune the turbo a little better and throw away a cat.

0-60 in <5sec.

For sporty and fast and damn cool, get a brand new Trans Am (WS6 or better yet Firehawk).

Check out here for more info.

Also, check out a used Lincoln LS - it's quick, handles like a dream, and it can be had for around 30$ in very good condition. EXCELLENT CAR - my brother bought one recently. It's not your average old man's lincoln.

<< Audi S4, probably in the mid 30K range or so. Has turbo and AWD. >>

I test drove one of those recently. New or used, they're both about 41 (new) or 39 (used).

GREAT car, however.

What are you talking about!?! The S2000 epitomizes sport, except for the low torque. Not that it matters much when the redline is 9000 RPM.

I like the Prelude too. It sucks that they?re getting rid of it and ?replacing? it with the new ?Integra,? or RFHYE2950, or whatever the hell they call it. The Prelude has always been a cut above the Integra.

For a big car, I?d go with Maxima SE. It?s NOT a status symbol, unless you like to pimp your sensibility.
