New California driving laws SOME take effect tomorrow

None of those will have any real impact on me. I never smoke while I'm driving, I almost NEVER talk on the cell while I'm driving, I don't drink and drive nor do I do any drugs, I don't race like I did as a youth, so the sideshow law shouldn't bother me (but I think it's a good law) so the only one that I'll even notice is AB 118, which raises my registration and smog fees slightly.

Screw this one..."AB 118, authored by Assembly Speaker Fabian Nunez, D-Los Angeles, increases the annual vehicle registration fee and the smog impact fee in order to provide revenue for research and development of alternative fuels."

Yeah. Screw those assholes for not sticking their head in the sand and ignoring the fact that oil is a finite natural resource. I  $5/gal gas.

..it's only finite if you don't look for it or don't develop known reserves. sweep the carbon-con crowd out of the way and get the drilling rigs going.

You are asserting that oil is not a finite resource, and you are calling OTHER people "theists" and "cons"?

Oh I assure you that it is finite. I don't think there's any doubt about that.

Connecticut has had a cell phone law for years. It's not enforced and doesn't stop anyone. At least half the drivers on the road are yakking while they talk.

I have no problems with researching alternative fuels. There are plenty of rich energy companies looking on their own. We don't need are bloated registration fees to be enhanced by anymore "rate hikes."
