Hi,

Just built PC with the spec below.
The two SATAII HDs are set up in a RAID 0 array on the NVIDIA RAID Controller.

The bios has been updated to 1007. no problem, although I had the "BS_DEF.DLL" error with the 1006 bios.
NVIDIA chipset is updated to 6.66.
I am running NVIDIA Firewall, combined with Windows firewall

A couple of perculiar observations, which leads to concern:
- A couple of times during reboot, the system reports RAID failure, or OS error. It can always be fixed through a press on the reset button.
- I downloaded NOD32 trial version, and when extracting it show a CRC error on a couple of the files. When I download it on another PC and transfer it, there is no problem.
- After installation I tried to update the virus definitions, but they too were corrupt.

Windows update has worked fine, and has installed all critical updates.

Voltages are as follows:
12v - 11.712
5v - 4.784
3.3v - 3.232
Vcore - 1.392

CPU Temp 38C / 100F
MB Temp 32C / 89F

Really hope you can help here, as there is not much point in having a system that cant handle downloading files...

Further info...

It seems that one of the two disks drops out of the RAID 0 array from time to time.

Any suggestions to why this would happen?

Cheers

Have reinstalled the system now on a single HD connected to the NVidia SATA Controller.

Tried subsequently to create a full image of the drive using Acronis True Image.
This reported a readerror on the HD. There really seems to be a problem somewhere between the MB and the HD.

Anyone experienced something similar?!

(A word of advise dont activate your XP license before you have a fully functional system - After a number of installs I now have to contact MS every time...).
