Well I've finally saved up enough for a new computer and I believe I've figured out exactly what parts I'm going to order.

Just wondering what you guys all think of this configuration. Hopefully there are some little changes I can make to lower the price. I'm at $2300 Canadian right now, including shipping and insurance. Any comments are welcome.

Case = Antec P182 ( $145.94 )

PSU = Corsair 620HX ( $152.64 )

Mobo = Abit IP35-E ( $139.08 )

CPU = Q6600 G0 ( $289.99 )

Heatsink = Thermalright Ultra-120 ( $64.54 )

CPU Fan = Scythe S-FLEX ( $15.75 )

Ram - Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 2GB DDR-800 CL4-4-4-12 x 2 ( $309.98 ) for two

Video = Geforce 8800GTX 768MB ( $585.40 )

HD = WD SE16 500GB SATA ( $150.17 )

DVD = Samsung SH-S203B ( $42.73 )

Keyboard = Logitech Basic ( $18.43 )

Mouse = Logitech MX518 ( $57.79 )

OS = Windows Vista Home Premium x64 ( $135.40)

Thermal Paste = ARctic Silver 5 ( $12.47 )

Thanks guys.

also, I'm not one to upgrade very often, usually every two years or so....maybe a video card upgrade in between. So keep that in mind for your comments.

Could do with 520hx, but besides that, looking good. For us to cut down on prices we'd have to know how much these cost and where you are ordering from though.

One of the things I always ask: What resolution are you gaming at? The cost of the GTX may be more than it's worth.

Agreed. The GTX doesnt have very good DX10 performance.

I would consider getting something cheaper and changing to a new nvidia card upon release.

Look at the Pioneer DVR-212D for a burner.

I would consider the DFI Infinity Blood instead of the Abit IP35-E. It is a little more expensive, but will be better.

Yeah I doubt you need a Corsair 620HX, you could probably drop to the 520HX.

A solid build...very similar to what I'm planning to purchase. But don't drop down to the 520HX, your PSU is fine and will allow some expandability if you decide to upgrade.

Well I'm not too sure what resolutions I'm going to be playing at yet. I ordered a Dell 22" but I'm also using a 21" CRT for FPS. I figured I would get the GTX so that I could sell it for good money and upgrade to the next generation video cards.

I'm buying all my parts from NCIX as of now, but open to different suggestions. I don't want to have to order from a bunch of different sites and get charged a ton of shipping.
