I just wanted to thank everyone here for the feedback, suggestions, and help from the forum. It wasn't an easy decision going to the Core 2 Duo, seeing as I had to adjust many other things, but in the end my new computer is phenomenal. Knock on wood, it's been stable and screaming for the past week or so. I couldn't be any happier with it, and really glad that I made the plunge. I've noticed marked improvements across the board, and now really understand what all the talk has been surrounding these chips.

For those of you that haven't seen some of my posts, my current computer is in my signature. There's many knowledgable and helpful people here, and for that, I thank you all. It's been a pleasure, and a great learning experience as I went through the steps of this upgrade. Very sound advice, and good suggestions.

Hope you all have a good day!

Cheers,

Slipstream

That's true, but that won't be the case here. In all seriousness, I'm very happy, and looking forward to many hours of gaming. :)

Very nice, are you planning on upgrading to xfire in the future? I think I would have suggested a different monitor, however that one is good for the single x1900xt great rig... how much did you pay?

Yes, I'm going to crossfire in the future. Not sure when, but I'll probably stick with that until DX10 cards are more mature. I really like my monitor, and never really had any problem with it, and would recommend it to anyone.

I already had the sound card, monitor, and GPU. All of the rest was new. I paid around a grand at Newegg.

All in all, I can honestly say the best system that I've ever owned, and extremely happy with it. Thanks guys.
