I finally got all the parts for my new Core 2 Duo build and fired it up. Everything seems to be okay. I didn't know exactly what to do to load windows since I've never formatted a disk drive without a floppy.
Anyway I put in my XP setup disk and after checking the system setup wanted to partition my unpartitioned space on this drive, which it said was something around 131GB. I knew there was a problem since I have a 320GB Seagate drive in there. I went ahead anyway and installed windows.
Now when I'm in windows the root drive is labeled as "H:" and the rest of the disk space isn't there. I have a feeling I needed to format this disk drive properly before loading windows.
I want to start over and get this right. Where should I start?
Thanks for any help.
