New Build - USB Keyboard/Mouse Not Working

Just overhauled my computer and I'm having trouble getting the USB keyboard and mouse to respond.

They both work in the UEFI just fine but as soon as the "windows loading" screen comes up when booting to installation media, the lights on the keyboard/mouse go out and I am no longer able to use them. (Windows 7 Pro on USB)

I originally got everything up and running, all the hardware was working fine, then installed windows. Somewhere along the line I messed something up and needed to repair the windows installation. However, now when booting to installation media I get the error above.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Vyx

Is the usb driver missing? Try and attach a ps2 mouse/keyboard if your board still supports that.

I was actually able to get windows reinstalled by attaching a PS2 keyboard. Once that was attached, both it and the USB keyboard seemed to work. The thing is, after I got it installed I rebooted and unplugged the PS2 keyboard. The USB still isn't working after booting into windows.

Use onscreen keyboard on accessability options and then try to go back to using the keyboard and mouse. I have seen this kind of thing before and that is what I tried.

Let it sit for 5-10 minutes with the USB devices plugged in. I've seen Windows 7 take a really long time to detect the devices and install drivers the first time.
