So I'm getting ready to retire my P4 2.8C and this is what I'm thinking this time around. Main usage is for video editing and Photoshop. Price is not as important as quality and low noise is a must, I'm open to suggestions.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Manchester Retail - $405.00

ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Motherboard - Retail $165.00

OCZ 2GB Platinum (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) - Retail - $269.95

SEASONIC 500W Power Supply - Retail $129.00

Seagate Barracuda 250GB ATA150 HD - OEM 3@ $127.00 = $381.00

Antec P180 Case - Retail $135.00

ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU $47.99 - Retail

$1532 Total plus $49 shipping

I need suggestions for video card(s). I'll be running two 19" LCD to start but would like to pick up something like This to add to the system. I would like two DVI connections per card.

Thanks,
rb56

Or, if you are gaming, how 'bout this baby?

Also passively cooled with dual-DVI :)

edit: Ah crap, i saw wrong.

That's not passive cooling.
In that case, i'd just get one of the dual-DVI X800XLs.

you dont need sli if you're opting for an ati card, you still wont need sli if you were getting nvidia, anyways. that msi card should do fine. samsung spinpoints makes very quiet hdds, but i'd still say stay with seagate cause it has 2 more years of warranty than samsung.

Its a great card, but won't go good with your mobo, no SLI, maybe get a 6600GT or a 6800GT and later in the future SLI it? If money is really no option, then a 7800GTX :D
