Ok, Here is the Story, my GF ask me to build a white PC for her, and I did,
but I was try to treat her with the z97 gaming 5 PC, YES! which get the gaming feature and spec, I think it better for gaming, so we can lol together.

BUT! it's not color white...and some of her friend told her that do have the white motherboard and graphic card, so, I have to spend some extra money for her "new" PC

OK, back to topic. I did take some pic about this new rig, here you can see the X99S SLI Krait Edtion and the new 960 2GD5 OC T Graphic Card, it's all color WHITE!

And here is the specs for the rig
CPU: i7 5820K
Case: NZXT. Phantom 530 (White)
Water Cooling system: NZXT. Kraken X61
Power Supply: SilverStone 850W
Motherborrd: MSI X99S SLI Krait Edtion (White)
Memory: Panram Ninja-V DDR4-2400 *8 (White)
SSD: Kingston 120G SSD
GPU: MSI GTX 960 2GD5T OC

Panram Ninja-V, DDR4 2400 Memory (White)

OK back to topic, I did spend long time for the case searching,
and finally get this "WHITE" case for my build.

This Case is awesome, Full tower Case, with lot cool feature

The First cool feature is about it HD Slot, it really reason to remove/exchange/install your HD if need, and also be able to install your second SSD here is you have one.

and for the water cooling, I think this is the best one water cooling ever! and most powerful AIO water cooling system in the market right now

I am not sure about the others. but this Kraken X61 get the software which can help you to control the Temp by your smart phone, and also can change the color of the LED to your favor.

C9vVplt.jpg

Three LED mode to choose. Standard, Breathing(like the gaming mouse), and the BLINKING mode。 also you can create your own favior color. the following pics are the example I made.

And check the I/O, you can see it get 8 USD 3.0 to use, two USB2.0, and also the Krait Logo on it.

then here is the 3DMark Test for this build

Now, I am going to use the MSI Auto OC system (OC Genie), to oc my pc.
(I am sick to try and setup the oc by hands, so this is a really good feature for begginer and me to use.

all you need to do is click the top-left "oc genie" button, then you are ready to ROCK now!

Here is the score after I hit the oc genie, you can see the performance of this rig is auto-rasing up about 10-15%, how nice is it? it just kind like the free upgrade for your pc.

Ok, so here is some conclution about this x99 build.
1) NEVER promise to your GF, if you cant make it happen.
2) X99 pc is not that expansive at all, and yes, it only like 2-300 higher then the high-end Z97 gaming rig, so if you get enough budget, I will suggest to get the X99 pc instant of z97.
3) X99S SLI Krait Edition is kind the upgrade mb from X99S SLI Plus, but this one is not only the color different, also the Krait Edition get more power phases than SLI Plus (12 >8), so we can tell the X99S SLI Krait Edition is also a nice OC mb for sure.
4) Make sure to get a nice cooling system which like the one I picked, if you do want to build a high-end pc, or pc for overclocking, cpu heat control is really important.

You spent all that money on Haswell-e/X99 system, then gimped with a GTX 960? Wow.

It would have been better to go with a 4790k/z97 combo and gotten a better video card such as a gtx970 or AMD 290, which would give you a more balanced and faster overall system.

I meant the 980 as an upgrade to the 960, instead of upgrading to 960 SLI

Just get a windowless white case. Then the appearance of the internals won't matter.

If the whole reason to spending that much money on the motherboard and processor is to get a 'white' motherboard, then you could have bought this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-801-_-Product

MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

It's also the same black and white scheme as that X99 board but much cheaper. And you could have paired it up with a nice i5 4690K or i7 4790K to keep costs down.

._.

I wish I had enough money to make the friggin color the most most important thing about the system. I'd never do that, but I'd like to have the money to do it!

wait, which one is better? 960 or 7950??

anyway, like I said, I picked 960 white gpu because the color
of course I know 980 or 970 is better, but I think this is the only 9 series gpu which colored "white"!!

and........wtf!! also get z97 krait edition white too?????
why you tell me this info sooooo late.....
