Hi there, this is my first build =] i tried my best to make a system that hopefully will work together when assembled. Here it is any help would be appreciated:

CPU

Motherboard

Memory

Case

PSU

BD drive DVD drive

OS

Video card

Hard Drive

Some of my questions are like will the PSU handle the 280 video card? And is there anything i am missing like a fan if the intel stock fan won't be enough? Thank you in advance.

1. This PC will be used for gaming.

2. The top items amount to 1400, but cheaper would be better.

3. USA newegg.

4. Intel, Nvidia-fanboy and no mobo preference.

5. All new parts.

6. Looked at some previous builds and looked over building guides.

7. Default Speeds.

8. This summer.

Intel fan should be fine at stock speeds in that case, but personally I'd get something aftermarket, if only to have something quieter, like the Xigmatek S1283 for $33 ($22 AR). Also your PSU would be plenty for GTX280 SLI. Also +1 for the BD drive, I have one and its great

Thanks. I'll probably get a new fan when i decide to overclock. Also I got a question about the motherboard and a friend of mine said it was overkill on the price cause intel i5 is gonna come out soon and it will have a new socket. Should I get something cheaper then?

Hmmm. The motherboard came in with a cpu and memory deal. I don't know if the MSI is sli ready though that might be minus other than that they look identical. I'll stick it out with the Asus and probably overclock to get at least 2 years out of this system with no cpu upgrade. I think I am gonna buy now. Anything I am missing to put this together? I already have a grounding wrist strap by the way. Thanks for everything! Three day shipping is gonna drive me nuts.

The MSI supports crossfire and SLI both. You shouldn't need anything else no
