Hi

New build - all new parts

MSI p67a-gd65 B3 mobo
Intel i5-2500k cpu
16gb Gskill Ram - RipjawsX - passed all memtests
SeaSonic 650W PS
2 Hitachi 1 TB HD's
Gigabyte HD9650 vid card
Samsung T240 monitor (ok that's not brand new)
Logitech G15 v2 keyboard
Steelseries WoW-Cata Mouse
Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit

Install went very well - I'm having 2 issues - one - when I go away from the computer for a while - the monitor is dark like it's in sleep mode, the lights on the keyboard and mouse are out - like they are in sleep mode - but nothing I do can bring me out of sleep mode - nothing - other than a hard-reboot by holding down the power button. There is no blue screen error, no dump file created, etc. I have made sure my USB device settings say they are allowed to wake the system from sleep mode. Not sure what else to do!

Also - and this has only happened 3 or 4 times - the system will let out a high-pitch noise through the speakers - and lock up the system - again, no blue screen, no dump file - hard-reboot is the only way out of it.

thanks for any help and taking the time to read!

I'm having sleep issues too but with my GA-P67A-UD3. It will go to sleep (S3) but when I wake it up with my keyboard/mouse, it takes a solid 20 seconds to come back from it. Do all of the P67 boards have sleep issues?

I guess I'll just disable sleep for now until it's fixed...we'll see if that gets rid of things..

everything fixed for now - turned off S3 sleep in the bios, put it on S1

I also had some issues with my RAM's voltage - all is well now
