As many of you know, I came on this site with no prior knowledge of building a computer With your help, I have learned the few basics and have come up with this parts list. Please review and give me feedback. The goal is stay under a $1000 canadian. Please double check to see I am not making any noob mistakes and feel free to change parts of the build if you know better products.

First, the parts I already have

CPU: Intel Core i7-920 (A friend who was visiting US bought it for me)

Any reccomendations for extra case fans or not required?
I had cooler master r4's in mind.



EDIT: come on guys, i'm about to make the payment in the next 1 hour. Any last minute suggetstions?

Well that depends on what would u use the pc, if if surfing, watching hd movies, office etc etc is a great rig, if its gaming what we talking about i'll save on other parts and go for the 5850 at least. .dx11, great perfomance worths the money, and youll be able to do everything else.

not really a gaming rig as i dont do much gaming on computer. mainly for video editing with sony vegas and adobe pro.

I will buy a new gpu + ssd probably in summer/fall. GPU if I see some good sports titles(mainly football-nfl) on there or if 4850 cant handle call of duty which i might play on pc.

I play games mostly on xbox360

Thanks I had to decide between that or thr 640gb. I probably gave up a little bit of speed but that is because I plan to add a SSD by the end of this year so this will become a storage drive.
