Not interested in SLI or OverClocking but just a stock(workstation) pc/mobo that will provide sufficient power for 3-8400gs cards to support 4-6 LCD's for 2D work/trading/office/web surfing/IM's/chatrooms/youtube. During peak hours I will have 2 chat rooms plus 1-2 yahoo messengers, trading platform, web conferencing w/ video all streaming at once. i'm more of a power user.

this is what i'm thinking:

Apevia MX Pider w/ 500psu
evga, nforce 780i
q6600
Xigmatek HDT s1283 120mm
2-1g and 2-512g DDR2 800mhz XMSR2 4-4-4-12
3-8400gs
250g HDD 7200rpm
DVD/RW
Vista premium 32bit

my quote on newegg is:
$1040.00 w shipping

what should I look out for when snapping this thing together, first build for me?? I don't know if this psu comes with sata power connectors, maybe i should pick up a couple of 4 pin to sata converter. I have no porblem upgrading PSU but if don't need to i won't

I've heard bad things about the power supplies bundled with Apevia cases. If you're dead set on that case, I would consider a replacement PSU along the lines of a Corsair 450VX or similar. For what you're doing, don't pay extra for RAM timings. Just get whatever 5-5-5-15 1.8V DDR2 costs the least from a reputable manufacturer.

What's important to you in a case? As far as a PSU, I did. The Corsair 450VX is good. If you want other options, look into Antec's Earthwatts series, or a Seasonic PSU.
