Nice choices #s 1-3. However, your video card (7600GT) does not "kick ass." If you need to save money for gaming, bump down the CPU and just overclock that. That will save money to upgrade the video card to something more modern.

Any particular reason you chose a motherboard capable of 500 FSB with a processor that has a 9x multiplier?

i bought a dq6 and use a e4300 which also has a 9x multi. There are many good reasons to do so. One being a 6400 and ds3 costs the same as a e4300 and a dq6, a dq6 has better cooling on the chipsets therefore allows for a higher and IMO stabler OC on air. (without ziptying fans to the northbridge).

as for the ds3 and its capabilities, I think few people have them running at 500mhz fsb with there hot ass northbridge which will burn your fingers with even a mild overclock.
