Glad to have such a great resource available such as this forum for this build
Looking to build a computer that is multifunctional an under 1000$. In addition to component advice I would appreciate any links or tips on building a computer, as t has been far to long (8 years) since i put together my own computer. Thanks in advance guys
1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
Gaming (Crysis, Starcraft 2, Farcry3), Schoolwork, Internet/Email, video Editing, Graphic Design
2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
No More than 1000$
3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
USA
4. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc, etc, etc, you get the picture.
Not a Fanboy of anything, but I have had good luck with Intel and Nvidia to date
5. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
Keyboard/Mouse, Possibly my 19inch monitor but I am willing to get a bigger screen
6. IF YOU have searched and/or read similar threads.
I have done ample research to date
7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
I do want to be able to OC in the future, but initially I will not
8. WHEN do you plan to build it?
ASAP
