New build help needed...

Hi everyone, just finished building an AMD 4000+ using a DFI Lanparty motherboard. Windows XP Pro is installed but I can't get an internet connection going. I have Comcast as a service provider. It works fine on the old computer I'm typing on but no dice on the new one.
In the device manager, I can't find an ethernet connection either, I have a Gigabit 1 and 2 on the back of the computer and when plugged in to the cable modem the light turns on, but it doesn't seem like something is engaged right. Any suggestions out there?
Thanks.

did the mobo come with an installation cd for the gigabit controller? if not, find the model in the device manager and find the drivers on the internet
