I have a soltek K8TPro-939 mb, 3200+ AMD athlon, 160GB SATA Seagate hdd, and a MSI 6600 gt video. All new. Window XP sitting in the CDROM.
I keep getting the blue screen if I load with optimized CMOS defaults. I get a "0X0000007B error, check for viruses, remove any hdd or hdd controllers. chk hdd for proper config and termination". I loaded via the f6 prompt, the drivers from the diskette but they were for a scsi. I loaded the SATA drivers from the cd but no fix.

If I go through the CMOS and remove any RAID config from CMOS I can only boot to a "verifying DMI pool data......."

I really didnt want to go into a dual hdd config but did I do a newbie bonehead move and get the wrong mb?

Wasted a weekend on this when I didnt have the time to...... Any help greatly 'preciated.
