New build, HDMI output very green and washed out

Hi all,

I have just built a new computer and installed Ubuntu 12.10. For some reason whilst in Ubuntu the screen is very green and washed out.

The screen is a 1080p TV monitor connected via HDMI to the motherboard (GIGABYTE Z77-DS3H) and the processor is an i7-3770k.

Can anyone help me solve the issue. In BIOS all the colours are normal.

Its most probably due to loose contact.
Try re seating the cable.

I gave up with ubuntu and installed fedora and everything works now.
