New build - downloads VERY slow

Today I built the #1 computer below and everything's fine except my download speeds. ATT speed testing indicates about 1.5-2.5 Mbps, while the computer sitting next to it that is plugged into the same gateway is getting a little better than 11 Mbps. Surfing appears OK but it's virtually impossible to download anything. Called ATT and they're sending someone over to check their equipment but I wanted to ask if there's anything in the computer setup that would cause this that I can change. Thanks for ideas.

Do you have ASUS's latest Intel 82579V Gigabit LAN controller driver installed? Version 17.3.0.0 was released 9/21/2012. Read the note about installing Intel's NVM Update Utility first, before you update this driver.

Thanks. I thought I'd done that but tried again. Reinstalled the LAN driver and that appears to have taken care of the problem.
