sorry man im pretty much stuck when it comes to hard drives....i jus put em in an hope they work, is it an IDE drive? how long did you leave it for...doing a full format can take quite some time...i know formatting my 40gb WD took nearly an hour!!!

if its IDE HDD should work right off the bat...and u shouldnt have any problems, i would try using another hard drive, i mean if u got a spare jus lying around, jus to make sure its not the HDD, if the second hard drive does the same thing then u know its not the HD, but something else.

check the boot menu in the bios, jus make sure the bios sees the hard drive, and that its in the right place. ie master, slave or cable select

check the jumper on the back of the HDD, and set it too MASTER if its not already.

i dunno what biostar are like as a manufacturer i dont no what their quality is like....i would consider maybe goin with a different mobo manufacture.....as far as im concernd tho i would avoid MSi and ASROCK
