last i heard they literally couldnt keep these things on the track and were still working the kinks out but apparently they are going to be on the road before the end of the year and for only $1.7 million.

I believe MSRP was supposed to be ~$1 million.

The specs are incredible, but I am questioning it's track abilities.

Still...1000HP, 4 turbochargers, W-16 engine, custom 365mm width tires, est. 250MPH top speed...

It shows 2 different interrior styles, engine listed as "don't know", and they recently got negative feedback on a cd player they sold. ya looks like a quality seller to me.

too much cash, I'd buy a Supra for everyday of the week and throw 100 grand under the hood of each instead.

lol, that reminds me of that top gear episode...

Clarkson: "We've heard from Bugatti, apparently their new supercar is nearly complete...all that needs to be done now is the steering and the brakes.

lol....feeling of safety, anyone?

Feedback doesn't make a difference for this auction. The guy could have zero or negative feedback and it wouldn't matter. Why? Because if you have $1.7 million to spend on a car, you can easily fly to the dealership in person, check out their legitimacy, put down your deposit, and get flown to Europe to take delivery of your car.

It's not like we're talking about an item where you have to trust the seller to ship it to you. Bidding and winning on an item of this caliber is more like saying "I want to buy it, lets meet in person."

Hell, if my dealership was selling a $1.7 million car, I would pay airfare for the winning bidder to fly to my dealership to check us out in person. We're not talking about a Honda.

that and the fact that only 50 are being made per year, worldwide (300 total eventually). its not like there are going to be a lot of options for where to buy one.

"Bugatti's Veyron was the star attraction of the Top Marques supercar show in Monaco, where it appeared for the first time officially as the world's fastest ever production car. Last month the Veyron was clocked at 400kph/ 248.5mph at VW's Ehra-Lessien test facility, the same venue where the McLaren F1 famously ran at 240.14mph back in 1998."

that's the beauty of it. You take an order for a veyron for 1.7 mil, and then buy one from bugatti for 1 mil, and you just made yourself over half a million.

Yes apparently it's got so much power that it's incredibly dangerous unless you REALLY know what you're doing. In any case since the US dollar is a joke and these are new, that could explain the high price, if this is legit.

Wow.....that's a lot of HP...kind of wasteful if you ask me.

I'd much rather have a convertible. :p
