I think I'm going to go watch this tonight. Fam is out of town until late and the movie starts at 7:30. Going to grab some nachos, a bottle of water, and go see the movie unless I get hooked playing Halo 5 instead.

Saw it last night. I liked it but it was not as good as Skyfall. Also I thought it was way too long. Could have cut 30 minutes and been better.

That's a strange way to spell Roger Moore.

I remember reading somewhere...MANY years ago...that Ian Fleming had Roger Moore in mind for the Bond part...but Moore was locked into his contract for The Saint and couldn't play the part at the time.

I liked Moore in the part...but I also like Daniel Craig in the part...kind of a rough-around-the-edges Bond, instead of the suave, debonair character we're used to.

Moore was good for his first 3, which also happened to be the only good Bond films that he did. (LALD; TMWTGG; TSWLM)...but then he and those films became a pervy cheesefest....and the leisure suits. OMG the leisure suits.

Though I submit that the production in those middle and late Moore flicks suffered simply from being the 70s.

And the Jag C-X75!! Boring chase but I could still watch it on loop.

Just got back from the movie...not exactly sure how I feel. The movie seemed to tie things up nice and clean for Craig as Bond but I thought he was on contract for a fifth. The next installment will also be the 25th - a pretty big milestone.

As for the movie itself, I thought it was pretty weak. I really liked Casino Royale and Skyfall and thought this would continue the trend. I know that it can be difficult to make things feel "modern" and "fresh" with a property this old but between the unremarkable female characters, predictable story reveal, and Waltz as yet another omnipotent baddie...

Too bad. The movie actually felt longer than its already long running time, ouch.

The thing is Roger Moore did one (or two) too many movies... at a time when the science of physical fitness was lacking... compared to today.

....

Went to see the movie yesterday.
would have stuck a bullet in that pukes head.

Was alright I guess, I walked out wanting more action.

So long Daniel Craig.

Ditto JC. It was ok, but not worth the ticket price imho. There were many times I was yawning while wanting more and expecting more action. Very boring in the middle and the acting was so-so.

Ooh, sorry to hear that. It's become my pet peeve with movies - 30 minutes too long. Just saw The Martian last week and that had the same problem.

I thought the martian was perfect personally. Lots of action, suspense, humor, and overall great acting.

Completely agree with the bolded. It was just too long. IMHO it would not have suffered if
they had gone directly from he got into space to a relatively smooth rendezvous with the rescue ship. The whole part where they couldn't initially connect in space and spacewalks were required would not have been missed and made the movie drag for me. The suspense ended for me when he got off the planet and that secondary crisis seemed like padding.

Thinking back, I agree.

Saw it last weekend. Boring, slow, predictable, and too long by 30-40 minutes. The script seemed to wander all over the place. I can't decide if it should replace Quantum of Solace as the worst Daniel Craig as Bond outing.

A major disappointment coming off of Skyfall.

liked the first 2/3s.
last 1/3 wtfbbq?!

-bomb blast damaging the console releases Bond from the chair?!
-star wars plot writing -> a dozen professional mercenaries cant hit Bond yet Bond, using the same guns, kills them all to easily escape.
- chief bad guy flies away in a helicopter then hovers to watch the old MI6 building (from skyfall) collapse.
of Course Bond hits it w/his handgun and brings it down.

btw- Why the F was there a boat in the basement of the abandoned MI6 building, which bond uses to chase the helicopter to shoot it down with his handgun?!?!

last 1/3 was ridiculous.

oh.. and that girl was in "warmest color is blue."
she's hot but in this movie she's awful

What? Space? I did miss the first few minutes...

Saw it last night, and damn, it was disappointing. A few things to note:
-Monica Bellucci got old (would still smash though)
-The main character of the movie was the DB-10

Gee, none of those things in the spoiler tag have ever happened in a Bond movie before. :\

And I thought the boat was the one that Bond took when he was going over there to see Q? He left in the car didn't he?
