I have the Verizon Wireless pearl 8130 - the old one with the suretype technology. The thing is super slow, and I'm starting to want to download some apps (like the sharebuilder and ING Direct apps) that just don't work on the phone.. it runs out of memory.

I was looking at the phones Verizon has today - it has the Storm 2, the Bold, and the Curve. The Bold seemed to be the most popular according to the lady, as it's International.

Any comments? I tether... will that still work on a newer blackberry? Also, should I wait for something better to come along, or is now a good time to upgrade?

Aye, maybe wait, but honestly the new bold on vzw is an awfully solid phone. I enjoyed it a lot when I was working with it. An ex coworker of mine got his hands on the torch, said it is awesome and wanted one bad (hes an iphone user currently).
 
The new Bold is cool. But I would keep an eye out for crackberry, howardforums, or engadget updates on any new ones in the pipeline.
