link for bios .

UPDATE!!! ..just flashed my 8KHA+ board with this new bios, no problems 🙂.

- Added CPU support for forthcoming AMD processors
...now this may just be word-play, but I'm guessing (hoping, really) that this is a reference to Thoroughbreds. Reason: there's only the one Palomino chip left to be released, the 2100+. Perhaps the plural refers to those after; T-breds...? It would be nice to have this finally confirmed after all our speculation.

Btw the BIOS is dated 4th March ,still no problems with this BIOS ,I will do some more testing later. The other Epox sites are slow to update to this latest BIOS version.

🙂

<< Wow, it can support ATA/133 just like that, by flashing the BIOS? >>

It says

<< ATA-133 clarification: This does not add ability to use ATA-133 modes for hard drives. It allows the BIOS identify ATA-133 drives as being attached. Actual drive transfer modes limited by IDE controller (max ATA-100). >>

Mungla regarding your question on the XP CPUs for 8K7A, well on their cpu chart rev 1.2 supports XP 2000+ & rev 1.0 supports up to 1900+ ,having latest bios update (dated 3/4/2002)

says this for that board

<< Added CPU support for forthcoming AMD processors >>
