New bill making the rounds makes it illegal to report on NSA wire taps.

Just a next logical step of legislation that already makes it illegal to reveal or record on media agents of the federal government.

If an FBI guy tries to blackmail you then you have no protection. You're screwed to record his threats, you're screwed to report it, and you're screwed if you fall for it.

This is an administration that leaks CIA agents identities for political gain, yet they want to prosecute reporters who reveal their illegal wiretap activities?
How about they stop engaging in illegal activities instead of prosecuting those who blow a whistle on them. Also, I could see how specific cases of surveilance should be classified, but the public should know if it's being spied on in general or not, because that should be a factor in our political decisions, and the government shouldn't be deciding these things without a public debate.
All the more reason Democrats need to focus on defeating Mike DeWine this november. He should be representing Ohio, not 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
