There is no logic here, only bigotry and meaningless assumptions. Do you like being a bot?
You BHO supporters are really brainwashed... just like him whenever you are hit with some real facts you start crying... and giving totally irrelevant comments
More drivel in the form of your opinion. You post without any content, more meaningless garbage and wasted finger motion. You are probably a teen who hasn't yet learned to the difference between what you ate for dinner and a logically expressed idea.

Some have asked why it's a big deal how many houses McCain owns. And it wouldn't be, except that he's the one going around calling Obama an elitist. That should be the story. McCain - the son and grandson of admirals, graduate of an elite private high school, legacy admission and graduate of the Naval Academy, who dumped his first wife to marry an heiress worth millions and now owns more houses than he can remember, is calling the scholarship student raised by a single mom who worked his way through college and law school and married the daughter of a municipal employee, who only just recently paid off his student loans an elitist.
The ad, It's simple. To the point. And even the "low information" voter can understand it.

Kind of funny McCain who has 7 houses understands the average joe more than Obama. This swing in the polls is all about Obama and his party refusing to drill for more oil and pissing off the working class. If Obama really was in touch with the average joe he would be leading the fight to get the off shore bans lifted to try and get the price of gas down. Instead Obama and his elitist tree hugger friends are blocking any new drilling in hopes of getting gas prices to 10 dollars a gallon. That way he can "wean" the evil working class off of oil at the price of bankrupting them.
You mean the same McCain who was against offshore drilling until gas prices rose and it became politically advantageous to be for it? Lifting the ban isn't going to drop prices anytime soon. The whole drilling issue is pure political pandering.
Yeah, there wasn't any $30 something drop after the executive ban was lifted and the repubs stumping hard for immediate drilling.
From Annual Energy Outlook 2007 with Projections to 2030 report: Link
The projections in the OCS access case indicate that access to the Pacific, Atlantic, and eastern Gulf regions would not have a significant impact on domestic crude oil and natural gas production or prices before 2030.
Anyway, our gas prices are still lower than many other countries... LINK

Anyone else seen this new ad from the one; "when asked how many houses Mccain had he said he didn't know, well he has 7 houses".
I'd rather someone who routinely lives in several different places during the year to forget how many houses he has (particularly if you're married to a moneybags) than someone that forgets how many states there are. Really, we're trying to go this petty now.
Hey genius, the point of the ad isn't a memory test for McCain, it was exactly what you inadvertantly posted. McCain is trying to paint Obama as not being like Mr. and Mrs. Average American. If you have so many houses that you can't even remember that probably means you aren't exactly the average American either.
Anyways, Obama has been under steady attack by some pretty dishonest ads. I'm glad he's hitting back.
1. It's funny you keep saying it isn't about memory, then use the word "remember" in your description of the ad.
2. Can anybody confirm that these are McCain's houses?. If they are in one of Cindy's family trusts they are NOT owned by John McCain in any sense of the word. Nor should he have any more knowledge of them than we do. Likely she wouldn't really know either, an estate of that size has professional managers.
?This puzzled me. I was confused as to what he meant. Then there was another interview, where somebody asked John McCain, ?How many houses do you have?? He said, ?I?m not sure I?ll have to check with my staff.? True quote! ?I?m not sure, I?ll have to check with my staff.? So they asked his staff and he said, ?at least four.? ?At least four.?
Now think about that. I guess if you think that being rich means you?ve got to make $5 million, and if you don?t know how many houses you have, then it?s not surprising that you might think the economy was fundamentally strong. But if you?re like me, and you got one house, or you were like the millions of people who are struggling right now to keep up with their mortgage so they don?t lose their home, you might have a different perspective.
By the way, the answer is, John McCain has seven homes. There?s just a fundamental gap of understanding between John McCain?s world and what people are going through every single day here in America.

Dude Elitist and Rich are two totally different things... a rich person can be in touch with blue collars and a non-rich person can be Elitist.

McCain promised to run a 'clean' campaign, but broke that promise some time ago with nasty attack ads against Obama. But when Obama fires back with mildly negative ads, the McCainbots freak out. The dishonesty is pathetic. But then again, it was the McCainbots who have been negative all along and who have forced McCain to go negative.
I'm with sully on this issue. Obama should go ugly with the dirt and mud. He's the cleaner candidate.
BTW, David Brooks wrote an excellent article the other day condemning McCain both for switching campaign tactics and for going from maverick to toeing the party line. A good read IMO from the moderate conservative perspective text

Obama beat Hillary because Democrats are stupid enough to nominate someone with little experience and no track record whose only message was "hope and change".
In 1960, John F. Kennedy promised change from the Eisenhower years with the slogan "Let's get America moving again," but he didn't use the word itself. In 1976, Jimmy Carter offered the slogan "A leader, for a change." Bland as these slogans were, by today's standards they would be too substantive. In the current environment, a candidate who promised to get the country "moving again" might invite attacks that he favored big government, while a candidate who promised leadership "for a change"( i.e., as opposed to the incumbent) might get tut-tutted by the media for stooping to negative campaigning. Even "Let's make America great again," Ronald Reagan's slogan in 1980, would likely prove insufficiently anodyne today because of its militaristic overtones.
All of these candidates campaigned for change, but none fetishized the word "change." That began to, um, change in 1988, the year Michael Dukakis announced in his race against Vice President George H.W. Bush that "I want to be a force for positive change." "We are the change," answered President Reagan at that year's GOP convention. The counter-slogan proved such a success that Reagan repeated it at the 1992 convention.
That time, though, it didn't work, because Bill Clinton had made himself Mr. Change. Clinton uttered the word 10 times in his nomination speech, which was as many times as he uttered the better-remembered word, "hope" (as in, "I still believe in a place called Hope"). "It's time to change America," Clinton said. "Our people are pleading for change," he elaborated. "We've got to change the way government does business," he continued. "How do I know we can come together and make change happen? Because I have seen it in my own state," he concluded.

I really loose it when Obama camp talks about switching. Obama was all for public finance then switched and McCain started playing dirty after he realised how Obama beat Hilary - by playing the race card and palying victim.. I am black, I am minority, I have funny name... boohoohoo all whites are going to bitch slap me... boohoohoo
Obama beat Hillary with a positive message and campaign, despite Hillary going negative in a party primary the like of which haven't been seen since Bush in 2000. Victim and race card were never played in the Hillary campaign.

Everything we use is made in china where energy production does not have any pollution control, but you want to shut down the US factories and thus loose the jobs too and the end result, MORE POLLUTION, Idiots
Do you think not drilling will speedup alternate energy development, NEVER. IF we drill here we can keep our money and fund more researches. US energy needs will grow and when it does it will be drilled out from somewhere on this planet not out of ur green alien a$$. Its better if we are less dependent on foreign oil

A friend of mine works for a company that produces medical kits. A vast majority of the components in those kits come from China. Right now they're having a big problem getting components. Why you ask? Because China has cut WAY back on production while the Olympics are in their country. Do I need to tell you why they did that or can you figure it out on your own?

Since the point of the ad is that McCain is not a working class everyman, would it be better or worse for him that the houses aren't really his but are actually owned in trust by his multi-millionaire beer empire owning wife?

Lol what a dumb reply. Yes many countries have higher gas prices, becuase they tax the living hell out of it and use that income as a source to pay for all the social programs they have. Just ask norway whom I believe are taking on a nother hefty increase for that very reason.

They are doing it so that the pollution level is low enough to conduct the games and no other reason. Once Olympics is over that will be back to the original level of pollution. Dont you think for one moment that they have cut their emissions coz they are environmentally conscious
