Of course they will. The cleverly leave it out from the original game just so they can release it as an "add-on". This was planned well in advance.

 
I wasn't impressed by the video at all. It looked to be nothing more than BF2 with a green hue and a nifty little crossbow.

Hell, it even had the hitching... you'd think they would have at least tried to cut that out of the video.

I'm not swallowing another shot from EA/Dice...

I liked the part where it kept hitching... good to know that the same bugs and flaws in BF2 are making their way into the expansion packs, too.

cool...........night time fighting...somethin BF2 needs pronto. people dont just down there tools and go to sleep with the enemy, no they go for the sneak attack!

Agreed. It's just an extra step between killing. The video doesn't look really all that impressive. That's the one thing I hate about EA is that they withhold features in a game to make an expansion pack out of it. Look at the Sims, when they had all kinds of stuff for the first one come out in expansion packs. Did they add that stuff to the Sims 2? Nope, they left a lot of it out, so they could just release it as another $30 expansion pack with a different name.

There should be no reasonable explanation of the release of an expansion pack less than 6 months after the original game comes out.

Get quicktime and real alternative. I'm not saying the video is worth it, but you should have those 2 programs on your system.

I haven't tried real alternative but I have quicktime available, I just tend to un-install it after each use.

Why do you uninstall it? if you don't like it running @ start-up get spybot search and destroy and use the system start-up tool to stop it from auto loading, it will also make your system start-up quicker. I wouldn't get real player if you do have broadband- it is good for dialup though.

Pick up the K-lite codec pack while you are at it

If everybody has night vision what is the point? Instead of playing in the daytime with pretty colors you are stuck playing the game with a green hue. Not my idea of a good time.

Roger that.

IMO, a great expansion pack would have been bringing the fight to new areas of the world. Take it to the Americas. Bring it to Brazil, New York, Alaska... just something to shake it up. Maybe flesh out some new classes and give a new gun to the existing ones.

Special Forces just feels really weak. It's bad enough that they pissed a bunch of people off by not having the common sense to wait until BF2 was stable before announcing it (I know that two different companies are working on it, but that doesn't really change things from an appearances standpoint... it was a stupid, stupid move), but I was actually interested in the new pack. But after seeing these videos, I can't think of one single compelling reason to buy it. I'm not forking over 30 bones for nighvision and a zip line.

Hell, I can bork my monitor's hue and play BF2 in green for free.

wait until EA gets BF2 straight to get the expansion

They're probably scheduling the expansion so they can sell lots of em just in time for Christmas... If they don't get the game straight, we'll just laugh at noobs that bought the expansion and keep te servers on the prime version.
