Really tempting to pick this up if when it comes out it isn't a vehicle combat game and actually employs the use of infantry instead of two man teams on a tank or plane killing everyone.

agreed. my only grief with BF1 was that the maps were too big to get around on foot (at least those that i played), you absolutely needed a vehicle to get somewhere

Is Battlefield 2 going to be on the consoles too? A co-worker of mine does alpha/beta testing for Sony, and he has a Battlefield game and he describes it like Battlefield 2...
