New Backpack for school

Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

Im looking for a small, lightweight bag, that will fit a few binders or folders and maybe a textbook. I like those sling types. Cell phone pocket is a must. It should look cool too. Anybody else lookin for one? Let me know if you have an idea for me. Thanks.

Well, I got mine at JCPenny's this year. They had some pretty nice ones, I decided to get the traditional style.

I hate cell phones. Due your fellow students a favor and turn it off in class.
 
At my high school, it isn't allowed. Who needs a cell phone in school anyways? No one is gonna call you.....just keep it in your car. 😛
 
I have a cell phone myself, but I use a belt clip. But what really pisses me off or people that leave it on during class. Is it that freakin hard to turn off your phone or even put it on vibrate. Whats worse is when they just let it ring pretending its not theirs or if they get a call a second time!
 
Garbage bag

My school dosen't allow cell phones either, but people bring them anyway and leave it off. That way the school won't know who has a phone and therefore can't take it. But we learn fast to keep it in your pocket where nobody else can see it. If the school dosen't take it from you other students will.
 
i don't really see why people need them while they're in SCHOOL. is your life that important that u need constant access? are people always in a rush to talk to u that bad that they can't wait til you're done with school? blah.
 
i don't use a backpack at school anymore. just my folder and stuff

i dunno. just get a common backpack. those big ones with all the pockets are gay

just get a normal jansport backpack if you absolutely need one
 
I have a timberland backpack, but I think I'll get a new one cause it's all dirty and I broke some of the strap clips. Check them out btw..
 
eBags is the way to go, just bought me a nice bag there....just look and find one you think is cool....always cheaper @ eBags...
 
thanks, ive been looking at ebags. The reason I need a cell phone pouch is because I have off campus lunch and independent study. SO i can basically leave school for two hours. Its good to have my cell on my so I can meet up with friends and stuff. I leave it on vibrate or ringer off during class, of course. Ebags looks cool, Ill probably end up getting the Jansport Grind Sling.
 
When I was in your situation, I decided to go with the messenger bag route. A lot of guys and girls have them at my school now so they're pretty &quot;in.&quot;

This is the one I got.In all black it looks nice; it is a real messenger bag, very well built, but like $56 at ebags. But it has 2100 in^3 which is more than any backpack and can hold my AP calc and AP Physics book side by side.
 
ignore the idiots about cell phones, there just jealous cus if they had one, no one would call them 🙂. im not sure, try pacific sunwear, ummmm dosnt AE or AF have some? LL bean has some good ones too.....
 
Another one for The North Face. But if you just need a down to earth backpack, get a regular jansport (the original simple one). And NO Sidebags (the ones that are worn like a purse, i assume you are a guy)
 
Messenger bags were a cult item when I was in college 5 years ago...a fratboy/sorority chick item. I was tempted to get one in order to conform 😀 but I just don't like all that weight hanging off to one side. Backpacks only for me!
 
Those sidebags that are worn like a purse are a little too flaming IMO. Im gonna hold off on one of those. I like the single straps that go on back. I just ordered the jansport grind sling from rei.com

And just who do you need to talk to at 1pm on a school day, considering all of your friends are also in school? All I can think of are drug dealers, and maybe some hoes or something.
 
Oh, and I have this L.L. Bean backpack, and it kicks ass. Not only is it HUGE (you could fit a ton of big books in there), but it looks damn awesome in Navy.

I know its not what you are looking for, but I sure like it.
