New ATI video chipset

nvidia will push prices both for ATi and their own cards since their new cards are already out there.

No they will remain high because seeing the new cards cost around $500-600+ makes the previous generation for around $300 feel like a deal.

Bend over.

Price

Mail in rebates especially from the manufacturer usually arrive prior to price drops. So I would anticipate price drops very soon.

the x800xl should drop at least a little, it crossfires with the lower crossfire card, its hard to say what exact performance increase you get with it, it is a great card for its price and more than enough power for most gamer

of course if ati can't figure a way to stop the dual slaves on crossfire, its becomes pretty attractive
