That would in theory be a step backwards considering that the Radeon 8500 has a 400MHz RAMDAC, unless he means GPU and is just retarded, which he obviously is judging by his spelling. Also, even if he does mean GPU, that would be worthless unless that's DDR SGRAM. Speaking of which, what's the difference between DRAM and GRAM? I know the difference between SRAM and DRAM, but not between DRAM and GRAM. Personally, I think he's bullshitting.

Not entirely your fault, as the liar in the link you listed showed that it had a 350MHz RAMDAC.

Not to makt it seem like I believe the guy at all, but the 350MHz RAMDAC wouldnt necessarily be a downgrade assuming it's meant for the professional crowd. It could potentially be an upgrade to the FireGL4 which has a 300MHz RAMDAC.

That said, I sincerely doubt he's working for ATi as he implies and so comfortably leaking specs of unreleased products.... one would think ATi wouldnt tend to think too highly of that. Not to mention his contract would likely forbid it.
Besides, since when did ATi start hiring those that with such poor grammer and seems to lack an a very thurough understanding of graphics cards.
Besides that, he doesnt even know the specs of the ATi Radeon 8500.... and yet he claims to be an ATi employee?

SGRAM is an extension of SDRAM that includes a few graphics-specific features. SGRAM allows data to be retrieved and modified in blocks, instead of individually. This reduces the number of reads and writes that the memory must perform, hence increasing efficiency and thereby performance.
