Thats why the next gen cards are supporting it, because they're not too slow to support it

That makes sense.

Stupid Geforce6, what a waste of silicon.

Only Nvidia would build a card too slow to use its own features.

ATI RULES

It would be pretty dumb for the r520 not to support sm3. It doesnt matter if it offers much benefit right now, it's the latest dx9 standard, and by not supporting it they would be shooting themselves in the foot. You can argue the gf6 is not fast eough to use it, but the r520 will have more horsepower under the hood, so speed should not be an issue.

Because I'm no fanboy and only a fanboy would be against MS and Nvidia supporting SM3.

So us ATI fanboys need to stick together and see this thing through.

We must stand against this ignorant bastards who supported SM3 when NV/MS supported it.
I do not know where all my loyal supports have gone, I mean forums across the net were saying how useless SM3 is and it still is!

Dont buy into it!

We're not really the most disgusting, revolting fanboyistic corporate bitches to grace forums, we just truley belive SM3 is a waste of time.

As stated, SM2 can do everything SM3 can, just with more passes.

You are clueless.

It doesnt offer anything except the ability to run a shader in few passes lol

I think we should have stayed with DX7 as well. Are you always against newer better technology?

I see what southpawuni is saying...but isn't doing it in fewer passes reason enough to switch? Sure, it may not be a revolutionary change, but it's still a step forward.

HDR and Soft Shadows can be used with no problem, I'm really sick of people who sees 33fps and says that's a Slide Show when it is fluid in the gameplay. You have to see things moving!! Sometimes 60fps doesn't look fluid and 24 do seem fluid!

I won't get tired of saying this: I USE HDR @1280x1024 8xAF EVERYDAY. Farcry, Sprinter Cell CT and CRC 2005 are the games if you wonder.

Anything below 30 fps is a noticable hitch in an FPS. That can be the difference between life and death.

southpawuni, YOUR A IDIOT, if the world revolved around you we still be in the stoneage, so its not us that buy P.S 3.0 card that are dumb as you put it, now both players use 3.0 we get more great games, and if you aint got a real P.S 3.0 card in your pc you wont know what the difference can look like as pics on web never look good for any games.

BFG, you can easily get a no cd/dvd patch for a game you buy.

Sure but then it becomes a PITA each time the game is patched. It's much better if the developer removes the requirement officially.

Nope. :(

But it isn't.

Ok mister, I see you don't use it. Some of us do with the same results so it's not just my eyes. My friends also see it smooth so yes, it can be seen it IS smooth. I'm sure a lot of you would if you didn't have fraps (that makes the game chopy) there every moment every day, or just an fps counter. And IQ is SUPERB, the environment has nothing todo with non-HDR envinronment, screenshots don't make it justice.

You will see it when you have a card that can run it.

Yes, I'm completely messing around. :)

Just seems to me that everything I've said is the exact same thing many have been saying for months since the GF6 release.

I frankly got so fkin sick of it, cuz its all BS.

Just wanted to see if people would actually come out and support my backwards dogma.
